Maybe the Brett Favre saga isn't dead, after all.

ESPN is reporting this afternoon that, according to a source, Favre had X-rays of his right shoulder sent to the Vikings for evaluation. One of the biggest questions surrounding Favre's possible return to play for the Vikings is the health of his throwing arm. Favre has a partially torn biceps tendon.

Just as we were getting ready to give public praise to Judd Zulgad’s open call to the Vikings to put the Brett Favre situation to bed, word has emerged that the dance continues.

According to ESPN, via Greg Bedard of the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel, Favre has sent shoulder X-rays to the Vikings. If the images show no major damage, the two sides might still get together.

So onward it goes. Where it stops, no one knows.

And increasingly few care.
