1992 -- Jockey Angel Cordero retires after winning over 7,000 horse races.
1982 -- Federal jury rules the NFL violated antitrust laws in preventing the Raiders from moving to L.A.
1960 -- Dodgers Larry and Norm Sherry become baseball's 10th brother battery.
1951 -- The International Olympic committee allows Russia to participate in the 1952 Olympics.
